Well today was all about the bowls.
Starting by having all the players ready to leave by 8:15. That meant the restaurant was standing room only. Everyone arrived and we departed around 8:30am.
Another first for the Irish, when we arrived at the street that led to the bowling club, the bus driver decided to reverse down the street to the bowling club. No problem you say, well the street was 3oo mtrs long.
The Open Ceremony started at 10 and went until 11:30, lucnh started at 12 and practise at 1pm.
Nothing much else happened today.
Tomorrow will be worse as all players have to be ready by 7:45am to be taken to the club to start by 9am.
Just a funny observation of the greenkeeper getting the moisture off the green.
Never seen this before. The greenkeeper walked across the green with a big stick and on the end of the stick was a long piece of round rope like plastic. The green keeper whipped the plastic across the green in a large sweeping movement, this movement removed all the frost moisture off the green.
Early night tonight
