Then off to the Vatican. Told that today was not busy and that our preferred day of Saturday would be too busy. So Aileen and Lyndsay decided to do the 2 hour tour. Luckily as only 33000 people went through the guided tours as well as around 30000 not on the tours. Hate to see it on a busy day.
Michael and Colene off to do some window shopping, however Colene put a big smile on a little old lady, who owned leather shop, too much information for this blog.
The 4 meet up at the Colosseum for another 2 hour tour. Must have rack up around 15 k of walking, for the day.
Back to our favourite restaurant for a quick Italian fix of pasta wine and beer and then off to the unit for a relatively early night.

Spanish steps, so many people, sign of what the day would be like.

Romantic Trivi Fountain. Tried the romantic deed of throwing coins over our left shoulder, They hit the plastic guard, how romantic...
Aileen and Lyndsay off to meet the Pope, Unfortunately he only appears on Sunday and Wednesdays, Lyndsay not impressed..
Inside the Colosseum, not quite the gladitor types.
Just one of the many photos that Aileen took of the Colosseum, unfortunately the guide keep getting in the way.
He spoke like an american with a Sean Connery accent, but actually he came from Romania.
Irish joke for the day, there was a young couple from Ireland and 2 people got lost....guess who??????
8pm , 30 C and enjoying some lovely Italian cuisine. Ha Bella
Tomorrow off to Termini Station at 7:30 am for a trip to Pompeii and then on to Positano, on the Amalfi Caost, for the day.
